										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Planning, scheduling and budgeting of projects require careful estimation. There are helpful tools to solve the problem of uncertainty.</p>
<p>The <strong>work breakdown structure</strong> is one of these tools helping to identify the individual tasks in a project. Nevertheless building a WBS seems to be one of the most difficult tasks students have to cope with.</p>
<p>Here is a <strong>procedure</strong> &#8211; easy to follow by the project team:</p>
<ol>
<li>Brainstorm all the tasks that need to be done in your project; that means listing all the major deliverables. Each work package must be named as an activity that generates a product.</li>
<li>Write the tasks down on Post-it notes and attach them to a pin board.</li>
<li>Finally arrange the Post-it notes around the main areas of activities and put them into a diagram.</li>
